Based on cutting-edge research, this book uncovers the pioneering discovery of EPA as an effective treatment for depression. A new solution to the growing epidemic of depression is emerging that is safe, effective and entirely natural. Professor Basant Puri reveals here, for the first time, why EPA - a nutrient contained in oily fish - is so extraordinarily effective in treating depression without the side effects produced by conventional medication. He also shows how we can incorporate EPA into a healthy lifestyle to gain from its remarkable benefits ourselves.

The advice in this book has transformed my life! Previously, I had several of bouts of severe depression per year; it would be fair to say that depression ruled my world, and has interfered with my career all my working life.I had tried many anti depressants over the years, but found I couldn't tolerate the side effects. I read the above book, as I liked the thought of treating depression naturally. My husband and myself had taught Health issues at University level, and were keen advocates of Natural and Complementary Medicine. I followed the recommendations in the book by taking the supplement VEGEPA, and was amazed by the results in a relatively short time. I do not suffer from depression any longer, and it has been wonderful to have my life back on track. I cannot recommend this book and the research by Professor Puri highly enough.

I've suffered from depression on and off since my teens and, as such, I've read a lot of self help books in the last few years. I can't recommend this one highly enough. Not only was it simple to read and understand, but made me me feel 'normal' again by reassuring me that these horrible bouts are not just in my head. I tried Vegepa as the book recommended and on the whole I'm pretty much back to my old self.
